#INTERNACIONAL | Un hombre identificado únicamente como Si fingió su propia muerte para evitar ingresar a prisión, después de ser detenido por conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol y sin licencia, en un caso que terminó con una nueva condena en su contra.
El sujeto había sido detenido por primera vez en enero de 2025 y, al tratarse de su tercera infracción grave, enfrentaba la posibilidad de ser encarcelado. Mientras permanecía en libertad bajo fianza, convenció a sus familiares de ayudarlo a montar un elaborado engaño para hacer creer a las autoridades que había muerto.
En junio de ese año, sus familiares compraron un ataúd y organizaron un funeral. Para simular una sobredosis, Si utilizó medicamentos y permaneció inmóvil, mientras enfriaba su cuerpo con un refrigerador para aparentar que había fallecido.
Incluso algunos vecinos aseguraron haber visto el supuesto cadáver. La familia evitó que el rostro quedara expuesto y argumentó que las drogas habían provocado una deformación. Después de la ceremonia, mientras el ataúd era enterrado, el hombre escapó hacia otra provincia.
Autoridades descubren el engaño
La estrategia comenzó a levantar sospechas debido a varias inconsistencias. La familia nunca notificó el fallecimiento a la Policía ni solicitó una ambulancia, además de que no existía un certificado de defunción o documento que acreditara la cremación.
Los investigadores revisaron cámaras de vigilancia y movimientos bancarios, elementos que ayudaron a establecer que Si continuaba con vida.
Tras varios meses de búsqueda, las autoridades lo localizaron y detuvieron en abril de 2026. El intento por evitar la cárcel terminó agravando su situación judicial.
El hombre recibió una sentencia de cinco meses de prisión y una multa de 20 mil yuanes, equivalente a unos 2 mil 569 euros. Su madre y su abuela también podrían enfrentar consecuencias legales por presuntamente ayudarlo a ocultarse y proporcionarle refugio.
