#INTERNACIONAL | Las autoridades de Tailandia continúan investigando el caso del ciudadano australiano Simon Peter Carman, de 45 años, acusado del asesinato de una adolescente de 17 años, a quien presuntamente conoció a través de redes sociales antes de encontrarse con ella en Pattaya.
De acuerdo con las investigaciones, ambos ingresaron juntos a un condominio durante la madrugada del 25 de junio. Horas más tarde, las cámaras de seguridad captaron a Carman saliendo solo del inmueble mientras arrastraba una maleta de gran tamaño, imágenes que se convirtieron en una de las principales pruebas del caso.
El seguimiento de las grabaciones permitió a la policía ubicar una maleta abandonada cerca del Mercado Flotante de Pattaya. En su interior fue encontrado el cuerpo de la joven, lo que derivó en la emisión de una orden de búsqueda contra el turista australiano.
Carman fue detenido en el aeropuerto internacional de Suvarnabhumi, en Bangkok, cuando intentaba abordar un vuelo con destino a Australia. La Fiscalía le imputa los delitos de asesinato premeditado, ocultamiento de cadáver y traslado ilegal del cuerpo.
