La Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (Cofepris), órgano regulador sanitario, alertó este domingo sobre la prohibición al paracetamol de solución inyectable, denominado como Axapara.
La Cofepris señaló que su alerta se da luego de que decidiera revocarle el registro sanitario pertinente para poder ser distribuido y aplicado en la población mexicana.
Señaló que, tras un proceso de investigación analítica, se identificaron irregularidades en piezas del producto, como cambio de coloración, presencia de partículas en la tapa, retapa y al interior del producto.
“De acuerdo con los resultados analíticos realizados, se concluyó que se encuentra fuera de especificación para las pruebas de esterilidad y hermeticidad, indicativo de fallas en el sistema contenedor-cierre (producto no hermético)”, añadió la autoridad sanitaria mexicana.
Asimismo, la Cofepris sostuvo que las características del envase primario “no corresponden con las que fue evaluado y otorgado el registro sanitario”, por lo que estas modificaciones “no garantizan las características de identidad, pureza, seguridad, eficacia y calidad requeridas para su uso, lo cual representa un riesgo para la salud en caso de ser suministrado”.
En este sentido, el órgano regulador sanitario recomendó que ningún lote de producto Axapara debe ser comercializado, distribuido ni suministrado a pacientes.
“En caso de estar utilizando este producto, suspenderlo y contactar de manera inmediata a un profesional de la salud”, añadió.
También pidió que de encontrarlo a la venta o identificar la promoción de este producto, se realice la denuncia sanitaria correspondiente a través de la página electrónica de la Cofepris.
