La cantante estadunidense Miley Cyrus presentó hoy “Flowers”, un tema cargado de amor propio y una venganza hacia su ex, el actor Liam Hemsworth.
“No quería dejarte, no quería mentir, comencé a llorar pero luego recordé. Yo me puedo comprar flores”, canta Cyrus en la canción cuya fecha de estreno coincidió con el 33 cumpleaños de Hemsworth.
Con el estreno de “Flowers”, Cyrus ha lanzado oficialmente su nuevo álbum Endless Summer Vacation, cuyo adelanto anunciaba la versión “más fuerte y segura” de la cantante y que promete tener sus reflexiones más íntimas en su camino hacia la sanación personal.
Si bien han pasado dos años desde que Cyrus se divorció de Hemsworth, la sospecha de que la actriz de Hannah Montana quería enviarle un mensaje al actor con ese tema se generó cuando eligió el día del cumpleaños de su ex para hacer el lanzamiento.
Además, una vez publicado el tema, sus fans se dedicaron a buscar las posibles referencias que Cyrus pudiera haber hecho sobre la inconstante relación de una década – un corto matrimonio tras un largo noviazgo- que tuvo con Hemsworth, y una de las más evidentes es su reversión del estribillo de la canción “When I Was Your Man” de Bruno Mars.
El tema original habla de los errores que un hombre cometió en una relación y su arrepentimiento tras la ruptura, y fue, según los seguidores de la cantante, supuestamente dedicado por Hemsworth a Cyrus en el pasado y una de las canciones que sonaron el día de la boda de ambos.
Con “Flowers” Cyrus se hace responsable de su propia felicidad: “Yo me puedo amar mejor de lo que tú puedes”, sin dejar de reconocer lo duro que fue para ella ver “arder” el hogar que buscó construir.
La canción llega después de que Shakira explotara las redes con el tema “BZRP Music Session #53”, su venganza hacia el ex futbolista español Gerard Piqué y su nueva pareja, la española Clara Chía.
Shakira contó en la canción temas de su relación, así como los problemas legales que enfrenta con la Hacienda española y la infidelidad de parte de Piqué.
Si bien esta no es la primera vez que Shakira canta los problemas que enfrentó en la relación, hasta entonces la colombiana había sido menos explícita y había manejado referencias más sutiles en sus videos y letras en los temas “Monotonía” y “Te felicito”.
