Uno de los problemas más serios en la carrera de Chávez Jr. han sido sus adicciones, pero de acuerdo con su padre, actualmente se mantiene limpio y bajo tratamiento para no recaer. “Sí está yendo a terapia todavía. Está muy motivado, está tranquilo, gracias a Dios, contento, porque pues todo va a salir bien, primeramente Dios. La pelea más importante de su vida es abajo”, comentó.
La reaparición del boxeador sinaloense se dará después de su última pelea oficial, el pasado 28 de junio en Anaheim, California, cuando fue derrotado por el youtuber y peleador Jake Paul por decisión unánime. Aquella derrota generó gran controversia y críticas hacia el excampeón mundial.
Más allá de los problemas judiciales, Chávez Jr. también ha enfrentado una larga batalla contra las adicciones. No obstante, su padre aseguró que el boxeador de 39 años se encuentra limpio y bajo control. “Sí está yendo a terapia todavía.
