En conferencia mañanera este viernes en Cancún, el mandatario federal explicó que este año sólo entrará en funciones el tramo entre Palenque y Cancún, pero no los mil 554 kilómetros de la obra.
Detalló que el Tramo 5, que ha sido cuestionado y sometido a litigios, podría quedar terminado hasta enero o febrero de 2024.
Además, aceptó que la totalidad del Tren podría quedar en funcionamiento hasta agosto del próximo año, un mes antes de que termine el sexenio.
“Vamos a poder inaugurar el tramo de Palenque a Cancún. El Tramo 5 va a quedar pendiente, pero como están trabajando las empresas, yo creo que a finales de enero”, informó.
Esta no es la primera obra emblemática de la 4T que se va a inaugurar sin estar completamente terminada.
En marzo de 2022, el Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles fue inaugurado sin que las obras de conexión estuvieran concluidas. De hecho, el tren suburbano que conectará el centro de la Ciudad de México con la terminal aérea apenas quedará listo para el primer trimestre de 2024.
Lo mismo ocurrió con la refinería Olmeca, en Dos Bocas, Tabasco, que fue inaugurada el 1 de julio de 2022, pero sin producir barriles de combustible.
Según el presidente, apenas el pasado 3 de septiembre, la nueva planta de Pemex produjo su primer litro de gasolina.
