Un total de 22 trabajadores del hotel Dreams Natura resultaron lesionados, tras chocar el autobús en el que viajaban, en el centro de Cancún. El accidente se registró en el paso a desnivel frente a la urbanización Alfredo V. Bonfil, debido a la falta de precaución del chofer de la unidad número 171 de la empresa Del Valle, quien conducía a exceso de velocidad a pesar de que el piso estaba mojado, debido a las intensas lluvias que han caído sobre la ciudad en los últimos días.
Del fuerte impacto el autobús terminó con la parte frontal completamente destrozada, resultando 22 trabajadores lesionados, afortunadamente ninguno de gravedad, quienes laboran en el hotel Dreams Natura Resort & Spa, ubicado en la Bahía de Petempich, Puerto Morelos.
Gracias a las llamadas de automovilistas al número de emergencia 911, se activó la movilización de los cuerpos de emergencia quienes arribaron hasta el lugar de los hechos. Socorristas auxiliaron a los 22 trabajadores para después trasladarlos a la clínica privada Azura; hasta el momento se desconoce en qué condiciones se encuentra el conductor de la unidad tras el fuerte impacto.
No es la primera vez que los autobuses de la empresa Del Valle se ven involucrados en accidentes de tránsito, debido ya sea al cansancio de los conductores o a su imprudencia al manejar, ya que en muchas ocasiones no respetan los límites de velocidad ni las señales de tránsito.
