Cuatro meses después de haber sido aprobada por el Congreso del Estado la reforma de ley que permite el cambio de identidad de género, este día se dieron las primeras actas en el municipio de Benito Juárez, que se suma a otra entregada hace unos días en Solidaridad.
En noviembre pasado los diputados aprobaron por unanimidad las reformas al código civil del estado para que las personas trans, puedan modificar el nombre y género en sus actas de nacimiento, es decir, de mujer a hombre y viceversa.
Al respecto, Noamhy Hermida Nieves, directora del movimiento TransCendiendo Quintana Roo, celebró este hecho, pues les da certidumbre y garantía a sus derechos, y les retribuye la dignidad que se les debía ante prácticas de discriminación.
Entrevistada a las puertas del Registro Civil, recordó que este movimiento trans surge de una necesidad que tenían por un cambio de identidad, y están contentas de que se entreguen hoy las primeras seis actas en Benito Juárez, tanto de nacidos aquí como foráneos.
“En Solidaridad ya se entregó la primera acta, lo cual demuestra la voluntad de los Ayuntamientos de ofrecer este derecho”, indicó.
Los trámites, según explicó, son relativamente rápidos, pues la solicitud se inició hace cuatro días, y entre la recepción de documentos, pago de derechos, no lleva más que unos 30 a 40 minutos para recibir la nueva acta.
Noamhy Hermida Nieves aprovechó para agradecer al activista Edgar Mora y al diputado Edgar Gasca pues sin su apoyo no se hubiera podido hacer realidad esta petición.
A su vez, Flor Ruiz Cosío, secretaria del Ayuntamiento, informó que el trámite tiene un costo de 1,600 pesos, no importa que no haya nacido en Quintana Roo, y el acta es válida en cualquier lugar del país.
